Mallaig

It was a wonderful and sunny day when I arrived into Mallaig at 2pm, with lots of time to catch the 3pm ferry. Unfortunately, there was no 3pm ferry (CalMac has an old timetable online which they should have taken down several months ago) and the only other ferry of the day at 6pm was full! However, after a bit of pleading to the lovely staff at Western Isles Cruises, I managed to get on the 6pm ferry (thank goodness) and over to Knoydart! 

I spent the rest of the evening planning walks with a wonderful woman I met at the hostel (who is a soil scientist in Edinburgh) and talking about our past adventures.
