Going, going .....

The poppies in the fields around us have been spectacular this year, and I've loved blipping them quite a few times. There are still some around, but they have passed their best now, and theire are thousands of seed heads amongst the crops.
I had a walk down to the local cemetery  - I thought there might be some fungi around, but there were only a few, and nothing photogenic. I'd hoped there might be butterflies today, too as the weather was pleasant  and the recent breeze had dropped, but there weren't a great many around either. The Small Tortoiseshell in extras was feeding on thistles, with a backdrop of the crop field with poppies
