Walked over the moor this morning with the ladies - looking good as the heather is starting to appear - extra

Later reconnoitred the start of a walk around Foulridge - spent time at the Wharf - saw the start of the Mile Tunnel - no towpath - so boats had to be legged through - by men laying on the barge top - placing their legs on the tunnel sides - and "walking" 'the boat through - nothing foul about this area

Discovered that Pendle has a Walking Festival this month - all led walks - and The South Pennines Walk and Ride Festival starts in September - both have websites - thought this may be of interest some of my followers
