The joy of the new…….

……mugs, delivered by the son-in-law this morning after he'd dropped the firstborn off to do some babysitting for her friend at the other end of Whitley Bay…….I immediately celebrated by throwing out all the ancient chipped and irredeemably stained ones out of the kitchen cupboard, VERY good for the soul……

It might be blips of road resurfacing (men and machines) over the weekend, I spotted 'no parking on Saturday and Sunday' signs and lots of spray-painted hieroglyphics as far as the eye could see on the way to the corner shop……that, or grid-lock in the back lane ;-)
