216/366 - Gold!

There are many reasons why I love working in the centre of Manchester and today I had two.

Firstly they had an event going on in Piccadilly Gardens, The Manchester Picnic 2012. It is going from today through to Sunday. A few Street Food stalls, and lots of picnic tables and other things to do. I managed to nip out at lunch today to pick myself some food up and to soak up a bit of the atmosphere.

Secondly on my meander back to work through Albert Square I spotted a newly painted post box. Post box has been painted in honour of Philip Hindes who one Gold in the Men's Team Sprint yesterday at the Olympics! Woo hoo!! What a great way to signify our gold medalists. These are dotted about the country and am glad to say we are getting more and more of them appearing - seen as though our medal lull has gone.
