FIVE Countries!

Hello Blipfriends!
Dolly reporting today!

Today we got up REALLY early at the hotel in Folkestone and drove about 3 miles to the Eurotunnel entrance. We love the Eurotunnel! I got to do my last minute exercise in their special dog area. Mum also got some breakfast and coffee at Leon, which she waited to share with me. And then it was time to board our train! I had my Pet passport ready and we went through both UK and French Border control and they only wanted to see Mum's passport, not mine. I do remember now - it's on the way back that they study mine with a fine tooth comb!

As you can see it was already raining early in the morning. We drove onto the train and then it took us under the English Channel and 35 minutes later (breakfast snd snooze time!) we were in France...where it was STILL raining! In fact, it rained ALL day. Mum had 4 hours to drive to our first stop, but we took lots of breaks so it took lots longer. Partly because we didn't want to arrive at our first place until 5pm and partly because the rain was so heavy it was stressful driving - SO many trucks and Mum hates all that spray! She was also very tired. She even slept at one of the Motorway stops. Tipped her seat back and she was FAST asleep!

Anyway - we were in FIVE countries today! How is that even possible? England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. I think I slept through France and Holland.

Mum had a surprise waiting for me in Essen, Germany, where we stayed the first night. More about that tomorrow!!
