We found one!
Some time ago now we had a tin-opener which we liked, a bit of a revolutionary idea, as openers go.
Unfortunately it didn't last very long, but did get Blipped.
Disregard electric ones and there are two basic systems:-
1. Removes the top, leaves the foldover seal intact and has a sharp edged lid.
2. Cuts below the foldover and leaves a sharp edged tin which gives inwards when you lift it and a sharp edged tin in lieu of a sharp edged lid.
The one we had, and were looking to replace, was better than either in that it cut through the foldover, left both lid and can with lickable edges - not that you'd maybe want to - just to illustrate how safe they were.
As a bonus you can even replace the lid relatively securely.
This has fewer moving parts too, just the turning handle & two cutting wheels. It also promises to be much sturdier than the Mk l we had.
