Lavender Gem

This lily with the spotted inside is called Lavender Gem.  After some bodily contorsions i was able to photograph the interior of this rather striking flower.  This is just one of the many lilies L and I saw in Branklyn Gardens.

The extra photo shows the cascading poppies spilling from the 'Weeping Window' at the Black Watch Museum in Perth.  A poignant reminder of World War 1 and the thousands of soldiers who lost their lives.
