Gathering

A gathering of flowers from the garden. 

I am thinking of going on a flower arranging workshop or course.  If you have any suggestions, do let me know.  I am finding a course difficult to find that suits my full time work and that I will be away for several weeks in mid October when evening classes are on.  I am wondering whether to ask a local florist who does workshops to give me a weekend day session to go over the basics of making different types of floral arrangements and some guiding principles on design.  I will read up in books and using videos online but I would like to face to face help too.  I am wondering whether to designate more space at my allotment to growing flowers for cutting.

A day of sunshine and showers.  I met with a friend for a walk in the woods at lunchtime.  She is on maternity leave, due back at work in September.  I miss her company so it was refreshing to meet her and her little boy.
