Sudah di Banda Aceh
An assortment of things on the wall in our Banda Aceh office. It feels a bit 1950s wood-panelled small town America.
I think the Indonesian government is becoming ever slightly more anti-foreigner - this definitely tallies with serious things happening to people in other places. I was questioned on arrival at the fantastically named Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport and got caught out when I said I was using the visa waiver to visit a tourist island. As he insisted on checking who was picking me up, the logo on our driver's shirt was a giveaway. He didn't care in the end, but border officials are getting wily.
