The race is on.........

Yay! I got out of the starting blocks today!!

Waterblast outside of house - tick
Clean windows inside - tick
Wash curtains, dry and re-hang - tick
Mow lawns - tick
Clean up back deck - tick

Whew!

Decided to celebrate with a little BBQ tea. Whilst I was outside cooking I noticed this little chap crawling up my tee-shirt. I guess I must have picked him up from a bush somehow as I was mowing the lawns.

I quickly set up a background (being very careful not to let my steak burn!) and captured a few shots of him. Boy - can these guys move?! It was pretty hard keeping him on the background then getting the focus on him before he romped off the background (a hi-tech sheet of A4 paper!).

The photoshoot came to an abrupt end when a little gust of wind blew him and the background away.....

....in perfect time for my steak :)

PS this shot reinforced my wish for a 'real' macro lens :(
