Saturday: Gardening & Reading

A dry day. MrD went off for a bit of a ride on the motorbike and I spent the morning gardening.
Finished cutting back the black currants, a few fruit for the freezer, and cut back lots of flowers which have finished - will make another mini hugelkultur bed - the courgette are doing well in my first one and I intend growing squash and pumpkin, if the weather plays ball ... This is a very good way of using all the green stuff I keep clearing in the garden.
When tiredness took over, I sat in the sunshine with my botany books ...
