Overcoming obstacles
So today we started out in the rain. It was probably 50 degrees. Most of the day was on a two way "highway" with trucks. After an initial climb and a stop to see Bow Lake it was an oncredibly, long and cold descent. Trucks and buses passed, I couldnt feel my fingers and my will was tested. At the bottom of the hill, the rain subsided and we had a nice 50k ride to lunch, complete with a fire and coffee. The final stretch of the day entailed a serious climb- to reach our final destination at the Glacier View Inn. It was an energizing and rewarding 94k ride- No way no how would I have been able to do this two years ago.
