Gently down the stream

My butterfly summer

This summer the butterflies just keep coming.  Today it's the turn of a meadow brown feeding on knapweed out in the fields of Barton Farm.  I'm no longer going to resist blipping them, or apologise.  They are just too lovely and it seems better to me to use the opportunity the summer's giving to see how many different kinds I can capture.

I made this image in late sunshine, after taking my old gent to his summer party this afternoon.  What's more, it looks like we're heading into some days of mostly sunshine.  What fun - the very best days for blipping.

Enjoy your evening  xx
