Diary of an Edinburgher

Clippers!

JR went to school, for a change. After her gym visit, of course. She'll be starting to feel she's retired very soon - the end of the school holidays is nigh.

I have been watching the hedge, sprouting as I looked at it from the sofa. I would have to get the clippers out. Perhaps just the bits I could reach...

And so I did. But I got the wee steps out in order to do the top of the hedge. I just had to take it slowly up and down the steps. And I had to keep sitting down and admire the progress.

Fortunately, JR returned home in time to finish it off, though I did manage to sweep up. At least one side looks good. Pity that my sofa of choice this evening renders the uncouth (and much longer) side of the hedge visible. Tomorrow.

.Archie certainly wasn't sure that I should be clambering up and down steps carrying a dangerous implement, so he kept on the safe side of the gate. He does have a rather disapproving look, though.

At least it didn't rain today, so LadyG and Beewriter maybe didn't need to buy those cling film ponchos...
