First past the post!

This morning Sarah, Jess and I were out and about. First, before it rained, we went for a walk along the river at Friars Carse. Then off to see Janet, who  had saved some jars for me - I've run out with making all that raspberry jam...

Then on to Allanton World Peace Sanctuary.  A large group of Italian teenagers was staying so the place was pretty lively. Also on a Wednesday a group of volunteers work in the walled garden. We had a lovely long talk with Caroline, who also invited us to stay for a delicious lunch.

Caroline also very kindly agreed to pose for a portrait for the new project I've just started - if you are on Facebook, you can have a look - it's a page called "Humans of Dumfries and Galloway".

On the way out we went to look at the "Peace Henge" which is taking shape on the front lawn. There will be a peace pole for every country in the world. Jess was running from the amorous advances of Kuri, the resident dog..

and this song is one we were listening to in the car.
