up the bigholm

I went for a run with Emily first thing this morning. We ran "up the Bigholm" The Bigholm is a tough little climb just outside my old home town of Beith and I had many an adventure up there as a young lad.

The view from the top towards the Kilbirnie hills, Lochwinnoch and even Ben Lomond in the distance always makes the climb worthwhile.

It was special to run it for the first time with Emily, (on her birthday too!). It was really nice to share the view with her that I have enjoyed so often over the years.

It was also a nice way to end what has been a tough few days back home for us all.
