Floral fungi

In the summertime, I seem to be at the market just about every day to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables, and to browse.  Today I was in the mushroom section, where they have a great variety of exotic mushrooms, and found these that I've never seen before.  To me they look like very large flowers.  Foolishly I neglected to ask what kind they were and a Google search has turned up nothing.  If anyone of you recognizes them, please let me know.  I like the idea that on a day when I wasn't looking for flowers, I found some anyway.
