Catching The Wind

The rain fell hard and long last night, through the morning and gradually faded away by lunch.  The dampness and dullness pervade the atmosphere this evening but sitting here with the doors open into the garden, a refreshing and soothing breeze flows into the room and over my face.  I have always loved the breeze. Mum used to tell me that as a child sitting in my pushchair, I would put my hands out to try and catch it.

The Eryngium (pictured) are growing well in the garden this year.  They rise up through the cream flowered roses and dark mauve geranium.  I am hoping to have some of them in our wedding flowers.
