Will's fire
Dear god, I don't really know where to start for today. Buoyed by our fabulous outing yesterday we set forth in the other direction today. We drive straight through Margate, deciding not to stop in some part due to their beach dog discrimination until we got to Cliftonville where they welcomed us all on their sandy beaches. We had a grand walk along and just before we got in the car, the dogs went in a really stinky bit of sea which is when it all started to go wrong a bit. We were headed for Broadstairs of which we had heard good things. A series of closed roads and diversions meant we missed our target entirely and ended up driving through some places where no one on holiday should see. Through sheer necessity we stopped at a boating lake and cafe that time forgot for our very cheap lunch and then got back in the car for journeys round a never ending retail park which sucked us into its roundabouts several times before we managed to actually get to Broadstairs. Which was lovely ( most places would have been tbh) we found an Italian gelato place for v good pudding and coffee. We tried to go to the fishmongers to buy our dinner but obvs it was closed so a handy coop provided all, including the cold prosecco and wine we very much deserved.
And the dogs don't seem to smell too much in the open air.
Tomorrow we are going back to lovely Whitstable. Literally no one has offered an oyster all day.
