Scarce Swallowtail

We saw this lovely butterfly this afternoon and had to look up it's name. It isn't scarce apparently, but was when it was named in the UK in the 1800's.
Another hot and humid day, loads of cloud and a cooling breeze, quite bearable for a change. We were even able to walk the dogs in the afternoon, which we haven't been able to do for a long time now, but the garden desperately needs some rain.
