Crane Fly

Lady Birds and Crane Flies (AKAS Daddy Long Legs)  are the only two insects I don't mind picking up, I suspect it goes back to when we used to  look out  for them as children, along with Woolly Bears and Caterpillars. This one was settled outside the kitchen door this morning and didn't seem to mind when I moved him so I could get a better shot.

I've been across to Manchester this morning and the M62 was very quiet compared to how it usually is, it made the journey that much easier;  I really don't envy people who have to use that stretch of road on a daily basis.
