Savoy knot

... a type of decorative knot and a (primarily Italian) heraldic knot, most notable for its appearance on the heraldic badge of the House of Savoy, where it is accompanied by the motto 'Stringe ma non costringe' (It tightens but does not constrain).

Also seen on the Alfa Romeo badge and "is basically the emblem of the city of Milan".

I quite like knots. The string kind, anyway.
