Gatehopeknowe Burn Valley

Today's walk was a more serious affair than anything I had done recently. I did struggle a bit going up the hills (and down as well), but the views were worth it. This is near the beginning of the walk (when it was sunny) and before we had started to climb. We started at Holylee (beyond Walkerburn in the Tweed Valley), then took the track along the Gatehopeknowe Burn Valley, climbed up to Maiden Law, then Seathope Law and Stony Knowe before descending beside the curiously-named Perlooie Burn. The heather was just beginning to show purple, in a week or so it should be at its height.
