Twin Towers

Our last day in Guilin so we spent it wandering around the city. Seven Star Park was nice because there were lots of shady spots for walking and taking a break but it seemed to be in out-of-season renovation mode. We get that a lot! I really liked the small temple though; no other tourists, just us and the monks.

Then we braved the heat and wandered along the Li River into the town centre in the direction of the Twin Towers, the Sun and Moon pagodas. Don't know why but I like pagodas. A recovery period in an air-con'd store was followed by another wander through town, another recovery period to down a couple of cold beers, some excellent scran in a fast-noodle restaurant (some assistance was needed!) and a final stroll through the night market.
