Ben Nevis

I walked up Ben Nevis today and raised money for Save the Children in the process.  16km round trip, 1345 Meters, 3.5 hrs up, 3hrs down. I learned how to use a compass, met some lovely people and gained just one minor injury. It was a wonderful experience despite the rain, fog and cold, I very much enjoyed the day but was glad to get back down to sea level where champagne and macaroni cheese with garlic bread was waiting for me!  The picture shows a little dog who we saw bounding along on the way up but obviously was feeling the cold on the way down so was tucked up in the rucksack dreaming of dinner at sea level perhaps...
