Friday for Play

The girls each brought a friend home from school today. It was a lovely afternoon. As you can see they combined TV watching with all kinds of other activities. There were no squabbles, which is always a bonus.

I went out for a spontaneous lunch today with a dear friend. I was hanging out laundry when she turned up and made the sensational suggestion. Put paid to the housework, as we ended up at the cafe by the sea until school pick up time.

When the Youngest's friend's mum turned up at 6.15pm to pick her up, we ended up opening a bottle of wine and having a catch up. We haven't properly done this for at least a month, as my friend has had a change of hair style since the last time we've talked...and she had that a month ago. They left at half seven, with all the kids asking about filling their stomachs.

What's an 8pm dinner on a weekend night?
