She Holds Court

Behold "The Queen of Buckingham Street," as I have named her, demanding affection from her new subject (me) and getting it. This is a one-block long segment of a one-way street, full of old houses and plants and parked cars and comfortable porches. Her Majesty rules her tiny and quiet realm unchallenged by denizen or visitor. I was honored to be granted audience with her and I hope to be so honored again very soon.
