2016 Sunday -- Four Years Ago Today

The two chairs in this photo just arrived today. I'll explain about these at the end of this post.

Four years ago today was a Tuesday and it was the first time we got to walk through this little beach house and it really was a shack. The place had been a rental for years and the owners had never lived here and had never done much of anything to improve this place.

But none of that mattered to us. We saw the potential and several days later we made an offer and asked for a 90 day escrow. Today we have four years of history and lots of reasons to celebrate.

And the chairs -- I found them on an Internet site called Close5. I first saw the chairs a couple months ago. The seller was asking $100 for both of them. A couple days ago I placed a message on the sellers page asking if she'd accept $50 total for the two chairs. She responded that she would and that she and her husband would bring them to us -- they live approximately 35 miles from us in the community of Paseo Robles. We were delighted and blessed by their generosity. I was concerned that the chairs are a little too peach or pink and not enough coral, but I think these will do nicely for a long-term temporary fix until we shop and find the furniture we like and want.
