Brookside

I found my 11k run tough this morning, and when the going gets tough it's always useful when something distracts or amuses you. Today it was running past Brookside Close (not the TV one, although it does look remarkably similar) and getting flashbacks to the 1980s when I used to watch the Channel 4 Soap regularly. Sinbad, Mandy and Beth Jordache and Trevor buried under the patio. I used to love Jimmy Corkhill too! The sensation of being transported back in time was intensified when a favourite song of mine from the 80s came up next on my running playlist: Back on the chain gang by the Pretenders. I'm easily pleased!
