Edible bee pollen

I dropped by at my farmer / occasional photographer friend's place to deliver him orders from my relatives for photobooks and pictures . He offered me grains of edible bee pollen, which apparently is a great source of protein. It tasted quite good and a bit sweet. I don't seem to be especially allergic to pollen as my throat hassen swollen shut or anything like that.
