Wrought iron

There's no better way to illustrate the plethora of 'original features' (to use estate agent speak) in this apartment than to photograph and blip some of it. This was taken at breakfast time, as the day was heating up.

We popped out shortly afterwards to stock up with provisions and enjoy morning coffee in the Place de la Republique. We popped out once more at lunchtime to locate some lunch.

Meanwhile, plenty has been happening around us. The city is playing host to a large number of Catalan folklore artists and we have heard bands and seen the beginnings of dance performances. It also rained mid afternoon, so the temperature is probably 10 degrees cooler than yesterday, which is a mighty relief. I don't think either of us slept well yesterday as we were sweltered.

Other than that, we've had a quiet day. We had to catch up with some washing, and I had a little chore to complete which is now done and dispatched. All in all, a lovely chill down day as our (re-)introduction to Perpignan.
