Happy birthday!

Russet is 12 years old today - so of course she has to be the subject of my blip. People in the village have remarked that it seems no time since she was a very lively puppy - that she is now 84 in human years - and so on!

She didn't seem terribly excited when I sang Happy Birthday to her this morning, but she has had a nice day. Her blissful days are in the summer when all the doors to the outside are open and she can wander around, in and out of the garden,  as she wishes - and so it has been today, with a walk in her favourite field. And next week her favourite friend is coming to stay!
