Moose at North Barriere Lake, British Columbia

As we were packing up to head home after staying a few days at North Barriere Lake we saw a female moose and her young one across the lake. Above them flew an eagle and an osprey. The moose are in a shallow area near the outlet of the Barriere River. This is not a large river but it is large enough for salmon to spawn. Further up the river, when salmon are spawning, they can be seen darting about in the shallow water with their backs out of the water.
