Another sunny day.

Mum and dad drove me to the station in the morning and dad was sure to leave in plenty of time. 1.5 hours for a 40 minute journey! Train, airport, gin and tonic and after some time and money wasting I'm on the very short flight to Jersey.

I was greeted by my sister-in-law and 2 gorgeous nieces with a Jersey cream ice cream for me. It's a year since I've seen them and this was my first trip to Jersey as they recently moved there from Bermuda.

We drove to their house where after a tour (the girls had put some hydrangeas in a vase on my bedside table - amazing!). I was left to babysit the girls for an hour. They've grown so much. They had tea and then I gave them their presents. They were very funny trying to open their secret boxes from Romania without the other seeing in case they got any clues. When my brother and S got home they got them to try too! We also played with their story dice and the character of Birdseed the fish was born. He featured greatly throughout the week.

After the girls had gone to bed my brother cooked us a delicious tea of duck served in real restaurant style. We drank wine and had a good chat.
