Forever on guard

The eggs are being tended by his mate, and he is ever protecting the door to their home.
Once again, the wrens have chosen to nest in the wren box by our front door.   It seems late in the year for them to have babies, but this could very well be the second brood.
I haven't heard peeps yet, so I don't think any have hatched as of today.
