Posing Pair
Had to wait in for a delivery this morning (new flooring for my study), then a tradesman this afternoon so no chance of going anywhere far. We did manage to go for a short walk down to the River Isla and I was delighted to meet this pair of ponies on the way. There were two others in the field too, where there had only been one before, so a real treat for me:-)
Apart from the ponies, there were lots of interesting things to see, such as a buzzard being attacked by a crow, loads of raspberries ripening in the hedgerows (including a delicious golden variety!) and masses of wildflowers. A lot of Himalayan Balsam too, which is really pretty at the moment, but a very invasive plant if it gets into your garden.
The weather was its usual grey and dull, with spots of rain. Not much of a summer yet:-)
