Chester FC 0 Burton Albion 3

Chester were well beaten by Championship side Burton Albion in their latest pre-season friendly but I think there were some positive signs to take from the game. For the budget we are working under I think Jon McCarthy has built a decent enough squad but it will be interesting to see how we cope when the season starts next Saturday.

Today's blip shows a presentation made before the game by the Chester Former Players Association to two current players who won prizes in our annual golf day at the start of the month. Rick, the press photographer who normally does our photos, was unavailable, so as secretary of the association I was roped in to do the official picture.
