Black Saturday

Today is the day when France goes on holiday. All the roads heading south will be full of solid, nose to tail traffic as the country heads for the sunshine and the beaches. 

We haven't got much sunshine here at the moment, but it is still quite warm, 28 or 29 degrees and it obviously hasn't put off early arrivals. 

We have our grandchildren with us at the moment and this year they seem more interested in their smartphones than going to the beach. Sign of the times, I suppose.
