Slaters Bridge
Finally Summer seemed to reach the Lake District today - had a great day on the final day of our Young persons workshop, started at Tilberthwaite quarry, walked through to Little Langdale, Slaters Bridge, Cathedral quarry and back through the woodland.
In addition to a polariser, to bring out the peaty tones of the waer, I had to use a 0.9 (3-stop) ND graduated filter on this one to avoid blowing the sky, and used a 10-shot multiple exposure to give more of a feeling of flow to the water. In processing, I had to boost the fill light a touch to open up the shadow details, before finally adding a touch of contrast through a separate black & white layer, set to luminosity blending mode.
