Rain, rain, rain... It's hard not to join the ranks of the whiney when it's nearing the end of July and you feel like you've only had about 4 days of summer in the whole of 2012, and they were in March. I decided to walk to the beach after work today anyway, and have discovered that if the weather and views are uninspiring, it doesn't matter how fancy your camera is. At least I've graduated to the manual settings now, and I'm pleasantly surprised at how quickly I've picked up the operating systems of the Canon after being used to my beloved Nikon and Leica.
Today went well at work, and we had a good giggle in the office. I'm on the top floor with a great bunch of ladies that make me laugh all day long. One of the girls is on a health-kick just now, and asked me to take in the dumbbells that currently prop open my bedroom door so that whenever we're standing staring out of the window with a cup of coffee, we can burn some calories too. So today, me, M, N and S (plus a new work-experience girl that's a good 4 years younger than me and looked terrified all day) spent a good chunk of our time practicing lunges. We also spent some time googling the best exercises for losing bingo wings with dumbbells, then laughing hysterically at the videos online. I'm sure I've protested this before: but I promise we do work sometimes. After discovering that lunging for 10 minutes equates to 4 tic-tacs (calorie-wise), we gave in and bought some sausage rolls.
