Christmas flowers

I just love poinsettias, so was thrilled to receive one this last weekend! It's sitting in pride of place on the right of the hearth, and is the first thing that catches your eye as you enter the living room. This photo doesn't really do justice to the fantastic rich colours - they are just beautiful. Mother Muir says there should always be something red in every photo, so I've taken her advice here - I hope a similarly beautiful plant is brightening up your home during this festive season! Now the challenge is set to try and keep it alive for a good length of time...
