Day Lily

I blame it all on my friend and colleague, Paul. On a mini blipmeet last weekend he lent me his "Nifty Fifty": a Canon 50mm f1.8 prime lens. It's as light as a feather and so sharp.  So today I took a slight detour on my way to Mum's for the weekend to Park Cameras snapped it up ... oh along with a new compact camera, a Lumix TZ70.

Having flexed my flexible friend, I headed to Nymans garden for the afternoon to play.  Which leads me to the main shot taken with the new lens.  Nymans is renown for its summer borders, so there is an extra showing them off using the panoramic feature of the new camera.
