Poor consolation!

Should have had op today but it was postponed yesterday an hour before I was due to go in.  Surgeon now on holiday for 3 weeks and alternative surgeon on holiday until the end of next week!  Lack of Intensive Care beds again.
No1 son and I went for a meal out  instead of going to hospital and today I did some retail therapy preceded by the compulsory cheese scone and lemon tea in John Lewis!
(Will not tell anyone if and when I get another date!)
