Indigenous fauna

I was going to take a picture of the lake by our house (which would be much prettier than this) but I left my memory card for my camera in the computer so that'll have to wait for another day.

It's been raining for the last 2 days, so the slugs are out in full force, and by the amount of tiny ones I've seen they're multiplying. There are hundreds of them everywhere. These ones that I snapped on our front walkway are small; I've seen ones in the forest that are 6 inches. I'm not a fan, I prefer the worms that come out during the rain in Canada to these. Our slugs are small and rarer.

I've learned to avoid stepping on them; not so much for their sake but that I don't like getting slug slime on the bottom of my shoes and tracking it everywhere.
