Imagine

(I just got that word for my title from an advert on TV.)

I often look at views of the countryside and wonder what makes some things acceptable to look at and others not so, and who decides and why.

Usually I think the answer is that whatever is the newest is the least acceptable even though that's probably a silly attitude.

Years ago the hills of Devon were covered with trees and forests, there were no roads, no pylons, no plastic haybales, no vehicles, and of course no wind turbines.

What should we be making a fuss about?

Probably the shortage of trees in my opinion... Although for me the most annoying and ugly thing is pylons and wires. They always get in the blooming way of my photos.


I had a very rare few hours to myself today. So for a treat I got up to date with the washing. I'm now wishing I'd done something creative with the peace. When will I learn!?
