The last Birthday Treat

We were invited out by my Wife's sister and husband for a night out at a local pub, that put on comedy nights.  It was an exceedingly different sort of evening for us, 'probably' made all the better for sitting in the second row.  I say that advisedly, as you are never immune at that short distance from being 'picked' on by the comic.

We also had another act that did magic and here you see a lady from the audience nervously watching as he made one of her rings disappear.  It was fascinating to watch a magician's work at such close quarters, and I must admit to working out one of the tricks, but the classic, where he asks someone to choose a card from a pack, and then it appears, still baffles me now.

All in all a great night out, much better than sitting in front of the TV, as is our normal evening.
