Layers of Time

Time divides and tears asunder everything in its unstoppable path.  Bits of steel scraps left to rust on an outdoor shelf.  These started out only about 1/16th of an inch (1.5 mm) thick but have grown to nearly twice that, as they rust and decay.  I love the way they break up into layers as the rust makes its way through.
