The House at Mystery Corner

One day until we go on holiday!
I imagine that the old house where we stay will have some sort of mysterious doorway that only appears when there is a special kind of moon and it mysteriously links events from the mysterious past with today. We will catch glimpses of shadowy figures and there will probably be some sort of aged retainer who heard the story from her Grandmother and who will tell us all about it quite late in the holiday at which point lots of the mysterious mysteries will, satisfyingly, start to make sense. But there will still be enough mystery left to give pause for thought.
