Spider milkweed

Asclepias viridis not fully open but in the same field as A. syriaca, the common milkweed. This field used to be used for hay but has been left fallow for at least 10 years and has been sold as building land. No building has appeared yet! Provides a good example of what will colonize if untouched. It is usually mowed once a year.
